G. M. Glover
I’ve spent the last few years writing and producing corporate videos as well as wrangling into an acceptable form the bunch of impulses that is supposed to be my child. Writing fiction has been on the back burner, but now I’m bringing it front and center.
I love taking the conventions and "rules" of a genre or style and turning them on their respective heads to reveal something new and sometimes profound (looking at you Lev Grossman). I have a big interest in how women live in this century and in previous times, particularly in relation to earning a living and/or raising a child, so these aspects occur and recur in my writing.
I’ve always found parameters are the best ways of creating something interesting, so my goal is to finish one short story a week. That’s six in total. My aim is to "just write" for a minimum of two hours a day. The results may be unrefined and unpolished but will hopefully contain a spark of something to catch an eye.
