Excerpt

The banger from her mother should have clued me in. I liked her mother, but I was not particularly enamored of the idea of banging her, or being banged. Poking was bad enough.

Then her sister chimed in. “U shld do ite. Dont want to loose her, doo U?"

I didn't need advice from someone who spelled worse than a chimpanzee, Twitspeak or no.

Contact with her family wasn't exactly making me want to join them. I mean, I was married to the woman. We'd had a big expensive two hundred guest wedding, with all the trimmings and three different officiants to please each of our mothers and her step-mom. Legal and recognized in slightly over half the United States. Wasn't that enough?

Bio

CW 2007. I wrote stuff. I got rejections. I won a contest. I got a new job, one that involves writing all day for 8+ hours five days a week. I tried to do the Write-a-Thon last year while also training for a half marathon. And got sidelined by a Running Injury for Dummies (violating TM, no doubt).

After seven months of useless chirpractic treatments and being unable to sit, much less think about writing, I found my talented ART guy and began to be able to make vague movements on the elliptical. Eventually I worked up to jogging, one mile, two miles, ah Jeez, three miles. "Good Jahb," as they say here in MN. I started biking and swimming and seeing if I could cross-train and still run. I took the leap and started a half marathon training program again, not the same one I tried to follow in May and June 2012. I made vague promises to myself to complete a Triathlon in 2014.

And now I'm trying to do the Write-a-Thon again, with the same stupid writing goal, but For Dummies. So I won't hurt myself by writing too much...

Writing Description

I write speculative fiction with a focus on queer, primarily lesbian, characters, history, futures, and points of view. Or something.

Writing Goals

I will spend an hour a week sitting in the chair at the computer, actually writing new fictional words. This is a big concession, as I have barely used my computer at home ten times in the past year. Sad but true...

Fundraising Goals

I have various nefarious fundraising plans. Like maybe a bake sale at my day job, where SFF is not really a buzz word. Or begging for donations.
