Clarion West memories

This one's for the alums out there.  How long has it been since you went to Clarion West?  What's your favorite memory of the workshop?  What's the biggest benefit you got from the experience?

I'd have to say the biggest

I'd have to say the biggest benefit of the workshop was the connections I gained, both personally and professionally.  I can't claim a "favorite" memory, and not just because my brain was sleeplessness-blurred by week 3.  A few memories that make me smile:

Playing with the toys from the toy bin

Weekly runs to Archie McPhees for instructor gifts

Buffy (and more Buffy)

My truck breaking down one of the times I decided to run home for an evening...and the classmate who was with me being perfectly okay with that.

Driving almost everyone to the airport, two by two, with barely enough room for their luggage and the newly aquired manuscripts and books in my truck.

Heh. I was actually planning to use this topic for the CW Spring newsletter, since it's the 25th Anniversary issue. We'll hopefully have an online issue in some form by then, which will tie in nicely...
