Seventies history

We're celebrating our 25th conscutive workshop this summer. One of the things people do when marking milestones is look back at history. In our case, we have three Clarion West workshops in the seventies to celebrate as well as the continuous workshops since 1984. We know who taught at those workshops:

We mostly know who attended during the seventies as well, but we're not at all sure who attended which years. There are several reasons for this. In those days, people could attend the workshop more than once. There were a number of people who attended Clarion at Tulane University in 1971 and Clarion West in Seattle in 1972, including Lisa Tuttle, Gene Van Troyer, and John Patrick Shirley. There were several who attended Clarion West two of the three years, including F. M. Busby and Lin Nielsen Cochran, and there were students who attended one year or two years and were in Seattle socializing with the students in other years, so that people remember them as students when they weren't.  

I have faith that the official class lists will surface some day. In the meantime, if you attended Clarion West in the seventies, or if you know someone who attended in the seventies, let us know if the class year we've listed is close to correct.  We'd love to hear stories about those workshop years.
