Excerpt:
Finishing Last Hope was Earth’s greatest pride. There had been some quibbling about the name, mostly from the anti-apocalypticists who thought there were much more cost-effective ways of taking care of the planet’s problems, but that was only of interest to Fax News. Their journalist had been uninvited from the colony.
Bio:
Math major on hold. Born and raised in Texas. Surviving Iowa City with loved ones. Trans. Sometimes forgets what's regional dialect and what's standard English. Obsessed with both "why" and "what if" from the age of two. Doesn’t fight dragons, but makes a mean salad. Aspie. Prefers sci-fi to fantasy and has an undying love for golden age writing, no matter how terrible. Has a hope and dream of following friends and family to Clarion West some day (keep on applying!). Just a little bit gimpy. Caffeine addict extraordinaire. Dog lover and owner. Suffers from "Someone Is Wrong on the Internet" syndrome. But mostly just a guy who’s trying to juggle life and writing and everything else that gets thrown at him.
