Time has stopped

Today has been nerve wracking. I keep checking the e-mail, the forums, the everywhere to find out anything. It appears no one has been accepted yet, or no one who is active on the forum has. Today is the second day after the deadline, and around 2 pm last year on this date the first two people were notified via phone. Thus far today, we have no news. To make things worse, I'm on an intense diet that allows carbohydrates only on lifting days. I'd love to drown my sorrow in pizza and beer, but I cant.

Watched pots, you know.

Watched pots, you know.  Stop waiting and get writing!

Yes, last year there was a very quick turn around for ca;;s going out.  I won't be surprised if they hold off a little while to abate the hysteria that happened last time.

I can't diet while waiting for news.  It killed my diet last year and this year's never even got off the ground.  Speaking of, I need to find some dessert.

Less fretting, more

Less fretting, more writing.

I didnt' get any writing done today, but I did sniff out a new market, and make three submissions in all.  Of course, one of them has already come back...ah, the joys of the internet.

I just broke the vowe of

I just broke the vowe of silence you must have all taken behind my back. Really...what, was it like 17+ hours without a post? In other news, I've nearly finished another short. I'm very proud of this one! My cell phone is constantly within my grasp!

No posts means no news,

No posts means no news, Clint.  Last year I stalked this forum because I thought I wanted to hear news.  Then the news started to come and I didn't really want it anymore, but I kept coming back.  It's like heroine, man.

Yeah, man.  Courier New

Yeah, man.  Courier New needle tracks, man.

Bah. Times New Roman all the

Bah. Times New Roman all the way!

Dude...they cut that s**t

Dude...they cut that s**t with, like, Comic Sans if you're not careful.  Times New Roman will mess you up all the way.  You gotta take care of yourself, right?

They sell kits for testing

They sell kits for testing quality.  Make sure your stash is True Type before you go  thumping any veins.

Have we taken this metaphor too far?

Don't know.  Are you

Don't know.  Are you outlining any tracers?

I honestly cannot remember

I honestly cannot remember the last time I've wanted something so badly that I had this little control over. So I'm totally with you there--but seriously, keep writing.  You'll get the double benefits of being productivity and distracted from fretting over CW. To that end, I'm participating in this March Madness challenge started by some YA authors at LJ. I'm doing a lot of writing, and it's working wonders. Now I'm only anxious in the mornings and evenings! It's a huge improvement, really. And has absolutely nothing to do with knowing that Seattle is asleep during the afternoon. Nope. Nothing at all.

LOL! Really, I did!
