Are we supposed to get a confirmation that our application was received? I sent mine off via first class last Tuesday and I didn't get a confirmation of its arrival. Granted, if Clarion did send a confirmation via snail mail, it's probably not a surprise that it isn't here yet, considering I live on the other side of the country. But with it looking like it's going to snow into the weekend, I don't know if I'll get any mail before the 1st to calm my concerns. So I'm just wondering...
I'm also concerned because my check hasn't been cashed yet... or do they wait until the deadline to cash the checks and start reading?

I recieved a confirmation via postal mail that my application materials were recieved. (I sent my application via postal mail). It took about a week to get the confirmation, if I remember correctly.

OK, thanks! I still didn't receive a confirmation letter, but they did cash my check, so that's just as good considering the deadline is pretty much here!

We acknowledge postal submissions via letter (and email by email) and it's weird that your check has been cashed but you haven't received our letter. Our bookkeeper picks up the mail and I don't always get the postal applications that same day, but it's always within a day or two, and I send out confirmation letters by the next day's mail when I do have them in hand.

If anyone submitted electronically and has not yet received an email message acknowledging receipt, please do not panic. I didn't manage to stay up till midnight. I think I ackowledged everything that came in before 10:00.
I will catch up with the rest later this afternoon.
Acknowledgments of paper applications will go out in today's mail.
