Codex

I've been enjoying Codex as a way to keep in touch with people from various workshops. I used to use livejournal for that, but now that my friends list is so big, I've found that it's easier to keep track of new people and their adventures on Codex. For one thing, everyone uses their own names (or their author names) rather than pseudonyms -- I used to be a big pseudonym fan, but while I have the mental space to keep 100 people and their pseudonyms straight in my head, I can't do that with 300 people, many of whom I've never met. The community is also pretty laid back and casual, though that might be because I tend to avoid the writing advice threads.What do other people think? Are there writer communities I'm missing that I should be hanging out in?
