The whole thing started because I died. The LifeBox contract kicked in as planned, because it clearly wasn't suicide (though you could argue that my diet looked like thirty-five years of malice aforethought.)God and Irony would have it that the cardiac arrest whacked me during a barbecue. A plate of ribs and potato salad on the tiny patio table, a beer in hand, I was sitting watching our backyard fade into a sigh of early summer evening.

Writing Description: 
Due to an extreme influence of hard-boiled detective literature during my formative years, much of my writing could be stereotyped as "white guy with a problem." I am trying to move away from that.
