Excerpt
They throw me out the airlock. I tumble down the embankment, hips, elbows, knees banging against jagged rocks, bouncing me high into the air. I lunge for an outcrop, miss it, then give up, curling into a ball, protecting my faceplate. I watch the sky and ground whirl around me--pink, red, pink, red, pink, red--and hope the sand is soft at the bottom.
